Teni Clark-Franklin has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and positions. Teni currently serves as an Assistant Principal at The School District for the City of Pontiac. Prior to this, they were an Interim Director of Adult Education at Pontiac School District. Teni has also worked as the Owner/COO of TLC Counseling & Consulting since 2005, where they specialize in advocating for families with children with special needs. In the past, Teni worked as a Counseling Department Head and Special Education Department Head at a School District, where they provided comprehensive guidance and counseling programs, coordinated activities and services for students, and supported academic success. Teni also held the roles of Special Education Teacher, Counselor/Academic Advisor, Special Education Teacher at Inkster Public Schools, Assistant Program Manager and Assistant Treatment Team Manager at Help Source, Conflict Resolution Teacher at Wayne Regional Education Service Agency, and Data Entry Specialist at Benton Harbor Area Schools. Teni's work experience demonstrates their dedication to education and supporting individuals with special needs.

Teni Clark-Franklin completed their Ph.D. in Special Education Leadership from Capella University from 2009 to 2015. Prior to this, they earned their M.A. in Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix from 2002 to 2004. In 2000 to 2002, they pursued their M.A. in Community and School Counseling at the University of Detroit Mercy. Teni Clark-Franklin began their educational journey at Eastern Michigan University, where they obtained their B.S. in Special Education from 1991 to 1996. Before their university studies, they attended Benton Harbor High School.
