Lela Majstorovic

Lela Majstorovic serves as the Deputy Superintendent of Instruction for School District U-46 since June 2018, with prior roles including Assistant Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Schools Instruction and Equity. Before joining School District U-46, Lela spent over a decade at Chicago Public Schools, where positions included Chief of Schools, overseeing 44 schools and more than 36,000 students, as well as Deputy Chief of Schools and Assistant Deputy for the North-Northwest Side High School Network. Lela's professional journey also features roles such as Assistant Principal, Teaching and Learning Specialist, English Department Chair, and High School English Teacher. Lela holds a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education and Teaching and English from Loyola University Chicago, as well as a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration from American College of Education.
