Maryam Taghavi is an experienced educator and project manager in the field of visual arts. Currently serving as a Lecturer at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago since January 2018, Maryam has also held positions such as Project Manager at Theaster Gates Studio and Exhibition Coordinator at LAXART. In addition to these roles, Maryam has contributed as a Writing Fellow and Teaching Assistant at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and co-founded the Iranian Studies program at the institution. Maryam holds a Master's degree in Visual Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BA in Fine Arts from Emily Carr, completed in 2008.
