Alice Hatzenbeller

Director Of Pastoral Care at School Sisters of St. Francis

Alice Hatzenbeller has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of pastoral care and church community engagement. Alice started their career as the Director of Adult and Child Formation at St. Matthew Catholic Church in 1988, overseeing the religious and sacramental formation of children and organizing adult formation programs. In 1990, they transitioned to the role of Pastoral Associate, serving the parish community in various capacities except sacraments.

In 2009, Alice joined Clement Manor as the Director of Pastoral Care, where they worked collaboratively with different disciplines to provide comprehensive care to residents and staff. Alice ensured that the mission and values of Clement Manor were incorporated into daily practices and chaired the Ethics Committee. Alice continued their tenure at Clement Manor as the Director of Mission and Pastoral Care in 2015, where they integrated the mission into all aspects of the organization's operations until their departure in 2022.

Alice's most recent position is Director of Pastoral Care at the School Sisters of St. Francis, which they began in 2022. In this role, they oversee the pastoral care of residents and staff, focusing on fostering individual growth and supporting individuals during end-of-life challenges.

Alice Hatzenbeller completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Religious Studies from Alverno College in Milwaukee. Alice attended Alverno College from 1982 to 1988. After obtaining their bachelor's degree, Alice pursued further studies at Saint Francis de Sales Seminary, where they received a Master of Arts degree in Pastoral Studies from 1992 to 1998.
