Dr. Paul Kemmeter

Dr. Paul Kemmeter, MD FACS has extensive experience in the field of bariatric surgery and the treatment of obesity. In 2008, they co-founded Grand Health Partners, where they currently serve as the Bariatric Surgeon and Medical Director. Dr. Paul'srole involves providing a continuum of care for obesity, including diet, exercise, medication, and various surgical procedures. Dr. Kemmeter specializes in Metabolic Surgery, GERD treatment, and hiatal hernia repair. Dr. Paul also co-founded BFKW LLC in 2005. In 2021, they joined Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital as a Surgeon and Co-Medical Director of their bariatric/metabolic surgery clinic. Dr. Paul is also the Director of the Community and Independent Practice Committee at ASMBS Foundation. From 2015 to 2020, they worked as a Bariatric Surgeon and Co-Medical Director at LifePoint Health, and from 2009 to 2020, they served as the Bariatric Surgery Medical Director at Mercy Health.

Dr. Paul Kemmeter, MD FACS, graduated from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in 1996 with a Doctor of Medicine degree. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Michigan in 1989.
