Jan Hochdoerffer

Jan Hochdoerffer has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. In 2013, they started working as a Project Manager & Research Associate at the wbk Institute of Production Science, specializing in Production Systems. Jan held this position until 2018. In 2018, Jan joined SCHOTT as a Senior Manager in Corporate Strategy until 2020. Jan then transitioned to become the Head of Strategy & Business Development for the Business Unit Home Tech until 2022. Currently, Jan is the Head of Operations at SCHOTT MINIFAB, a position they started in August 2022.

Jan Hochdoerffer has a PhD in engineering (Dr.-Ing.) with a field of study in Global Production Strategy from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Jan was also a visiting scholar at the MIT Sloan School of Management, where they focused on Operations Management. In addition, Hochdoerffer holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Jan also served as a visiting master student at UC San Diego, where they studied Economics, Finance, and Information Technology.
