Lorenz Horlbeck

Lorenz Horlbeck is an experienced professional in strategy and business development, currently serving as the Head of Strategy & Business Development for the BU Home Tech at SCHOTT since May 2022. Prior to this role, Lorenz held various positions at Horváth & Partners Management Consultants from May 2018 to April 2022, including Senior Project Manager and Managing Consultant in the automotive sector. Academic experience includes a position as Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter at Technische Universität München from April 2013 to January 2018, focusing on the design, simulation, and control of electrical machines. Lorenz began his career at BMW Group in roles related to simulation and energy storage, as well as internships in chassis dynamics. Educational qualifications include a Dr.-Ing. in Electrical Drive Systems from Technical University of Munich and a Dipl.-Ing. in Automotive Engineering from RWTH Aachen University, alongside studies at Università di Trento and University of Stuttgart.
