Basit D. has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Basit started their career at Lloyds Bank as a Mortgage Manager in 2005. Then, they joined NatWest in 2007 as a Financial Planning Manager, where they provided holistic financial advice to a wide range of clients. In 2008, Basit joined HSBC and held various roles, including Senior Financial Planning Manager and International Wealth Manager - HNW. In these roles, they provided comprehensive financial advice to premier clients, focusing on areas such as protection, retirement planning, savings, and investments. Basit then joined Lloyds Banking Group in 2017 as a Private Banking Advice Manager. Currently, Basit is working at Schroders Personal Wealth, where they started as a Personal Wealth Advisor in 2019 and is now a Financial Planning Director.

Basit D. completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Affairs from the Military Academy between 1991 and 1993. In 2007, they pursued further education and obtained a Diploma in Financial Planning from The Chartered Insurance Institute - UK in the field of Financial Planning and Services, completing it in 2008.
