Karl Leswing

Karl Leswing has extensive experience in software engineering and machine learning, currently serving as Vice President of Machine Learning at Schrödinger since July 2013, where roles have included Executive Director, Senior Director, Director, and Machine Learning Tech Lead, focusing on developing small molecules with DeepChem. Prior to Schrödinger, Karl worked at Symantec, contributing as a Software Engineer and Associate Software Engineer in Research and Development for Norton Cloud and Norton Data Services. Early career positions included software engineering roles at Micro Design Inc, Euler Group, Ascend Intelligence, and GetWellNetwork, where responsibilities involved designing server software, implementing solutions for prestigious clients, and automating testing processes. Karl holds a Master's degree in Machine Learning from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Virginia, complemented by a high school diploma from Thomas Jefferson School for Science and Technology.
