Dr. Hermann Uchtmann

Dr. Hermann Uchtmann has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Dr. Hermann currently works at Schuler Group, where they serve as the Head of Business Unit Battery Giga Projects in the Division Battery. Prior to this, they held the position of New Business Development e-Mobility in the Division Industry at Schuler Group. Previously, they were involved in Technology and Innovation Management as the CTO of the central division. In this role, they focused on developing new solutions for potential future business fields, particularly in the areas of electromobility and fuel cell technology. Dr. Hermann also conducted technologies scouting for innovative production processes. Before joining Schuler Group, Dr. Uchtmann worked at Fraunhofer-Institut für Lasertechnik ILT, where they served as Team Leader and Project Manager for Laser Beam Drilling and Precision Cutting. Prior to that, they gained experience as an intern in the manufacturing development department at Andreas STIHL AG & Co. KG. Dr. Hermann also worked as a student assistant in the Laser Technology Chair at RWTH Aachen University, specializing in laser beam cladding. Additionally, Dr. Uchtmann completed internships at Miele in the field of plastic injection molding and at Wittkamp Maschinen- und Anlagenbau in the specialty machinery industry for the food sector.

Dr. Hermann Uchtmann obtained their Dr.-Ing. degree in Maschinenbau from RWTH Aachen University in the years 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed their Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Maschinenbau at RWTH Aachen University from 2006 to 2011.
