Barry O'Dell

Barry O'Dell has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Barry started their career as a Production Engineer at Symbolic Sound Corporation and worked there until 2000. Following that, Barry joined the Carroll Fire Protection District and served as a Lieutenant for seven years. In 2000, they transitioned to Schumacher Electric Corp. where they worked as a Senior Product Engineer until 2005. Barry then moved to BUNN and held the role of Senior Project Engineer Electronics for fourteen years. In 2019, they returned to Schumacher Electric Corporation as the Global Product Development Manager and later became the Director of Engineering in February 2021.

Barry O'Dell completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, from 1993 to 1996. In 1996, they also passed the FE exam and registered as an EIT through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. In 1997, Barry obtained the Firefighter II certification from the Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal. Additionally, in August 2017, they received certification in Adult First Aid / CPR / AED from the American Red Cross.
