Anthony Curtis is an attorney at Schwegman Lundberg & Woessner. Curtis began their career as intellectual property counsel at Panduit Corporation in April 2006. Anthony then moved to Motorola, Inc. in January 2008, where they served as senior patent operations counsel until 2011. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing all aspects of Motorola's patent portfolio, including preparation and prosecution of patents in the US and internationally, management of outside counsel, and rendering infringement opinions. Anthony also provided guidance on licensing issues and trained inventors on patent law.
In January 2011, Curtis joined Verizon as patent counsel. Anthony oversaw all aspects of Verizon's patent operations, including preparation and prosecution of patents in the US and internationally, management of outside counsel, and rendering infringement opinions. Anthony also provided guidance on licensing issues, helped to develop Verizon's patent portfolio strategy, and provided internal business and technical counseling on patent-related issues.
Curtis has been recognized for their work in intellectual property law, receiving the "Client Choice Award" from Managing Intellectual Property Magazine in 2010 and 2012 and being named a "Leading Lawyer" by Illinois Super Lawyers from 2013-2017.
Anthony Curtis has a JD from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, an MS in Physics and a PhD in EE from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and an MS in EE from Princeton University. Anthony also has a BS in EE and a BS in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
