John Fischer is currently the Principal at Schwegman Lundberg & Woessner. John has over 20 years of experience in the field of software engineering.

John started their career in 1996 as a Project Engineer at Rockwell Collins, Inc. John then became a Staff Programmer II at Parsons Technology in 1998. In 1999, they took on the role of Database Administrator II at McLeodUSA. And finally in 2000, they became a Software Engineer at Dorsey & Whitney, LLP where they remained until 2002.

At Dorsey & Whitney, John was the lead web programmer and database developer firm-wide. John maintained internal and external web sites using ASP and DHTML. John also constructed and supported Microsoft SQL Server databases and data-driven web sites. John worked closely with practice groups to migrate applications from old technology and assisted in implementing a global document management system.

In their current role as Principal at Schwegman Lundberg & Woessner, John provides expert guidance on patent prosecution matters to clients in a broad range of technological fields including electrical, computer hardware and software, medical devices, and mechanical technologies.

John Fischer has a J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law and a B.S. in Applied Computer Science from St. Cloud State University. John also attended the University of Minnesota Duluth.
