Rick Edge

Rick Edge is a highly experienced attorney specializing in intellectual property law, currently serving as Senior Corporate Counsel at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) since December 2017. Prior to this role, Rick held the position of Staff Counsel at SEL from February 2006, focusing on establishing and leading the in-house intellectual property practice and overseeing outside counsel in both US and foreign jurisdictions. Rick also has experience as President of Cougar Aquatics Swim Club and as an attorney at Starkweather and Associates, where responsibilities included patent and trademark application management and litigation support. Rick's early career includes an internship in intellectual property law at Bridgestone Americas and an R&D engineering internship at Bard Access Systems. Rick holds a JD from the University of Akron School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Utah.
