Dr. Philimon Chitagu has extensive work experience in various HR and administration roles. Dr. Philimon started their career in 2003 as an HR Manager at CAPS Holdings Limited, where they served until 2008. In 2009, they joined Schweppes Zimbabwe Ltd as a Human Resources Manager and eventually became the General Manager-HR & Administration. In this role, they designed and implemented the HR strategy for the company, focusing on areas such as performance management, compensation, recruitment, leadership development, and HR policies. Dr. Chitagu also served as the Human Resources and Administration Director for Schweppes Zimbabwe Ltd. In 2020, they became a Marshall Goldsmith Certified Executive Coach at Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered Coaching.
Dr. Philimon Chitagu (PhD) has an extensive education history. Dr. Philimon started their academic journey at Zimbabwe Open University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Management in Industrial and Labour Studies and an MBA in Industrial and Labour Studies from 2000 to 2004. Dr. Philimon further pursued their education at the same university and obtained a Masters in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Management in Industrial and Labour Studies with a specialization in Labour Law from 2002 to 2006.
In 2016, Dr. Chitagu enrolled at The Da Vinci Institute, where they focused on Leadership Transformation and Development as their field of study. During this period, they also pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business Administration and Management, General from 2016 to 2019. Dr. Philimon'seducational journey continued at Commonwelth University in 2017, where they earned a Doctor of Business Administration (Hons) with a specialization in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General.
In addition to their degrees, Dr. Chitagu has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. These certifications include Balance Scorecard Bootcamp, Balance Scorecard Professional, Balance Scorecard Master Professional, Personal Profile Assessments, and HR Practitioner. Dr. Philimon acquired these certifications through various institutions such as the Balance Scorecard Institute in conjunction with George Washington University, Thomas International, and the Institute of People Management of Zimbabwe.
