Jacob Thiel

Jacob Thiel is a Hydraulics Engineer at Schwing Bioset, Inc. since February 2022, focusing on the design of power packs and hydraulic schematics for custom equipment. Previously, Jacob served as a Mechanical Engineer, designing systems for biosolids dewatering and coordinating instrumentation with electrical teams. Prior experience at Vermeer Corporation as a Design Engineer involved product development for mini skid steer lines, along with a role as a Manufacturing Engineer, where Jacob acted as a liaison between production management and engineering teams. Jacob completed an engineering internship at Gemini, Inc., where responsibilities included investigating quality control variables and improving manufacturing processes. Jacob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University, earned in 2018.
