Sigrid Poulsen has extensive experience in the medical field, with a range of roles in both national and international organizations. Sigrid began their career at Rigshospitalet as a physician in the Pediatric Department before completing internships in surgery, gynecology & obstetrics, and infectious medicine. Poulsen then worked as an Associate Professional Officer for the World Health Organization, providing technical and managerial assistance to the Control of Diarrhoeal Diseases Programme and the Immunization Programme. Sigrid also spent time at the Statens Serum Institut, where they focused on surveillance of communicable diseases, particularly tuberculosis. Poulsen later joined the National Board of Health as a Senior Medical Officer, responsible for the childhood immunization program and the introduction of new vaccines. During their time there, they also undertook secondments to the World Health Organization, working on missions to Latvia and Albania. In 2012, Poulsen started their own consultancy, Sigrid Poulsen Consult, before joining Medivir AB as a Medical Adviser in 2014.
