Peter Phelan has worked in a variety of roles since 2001. Peter began as a Research Volunteer and Office Volunteer at Hawk Mountain Sanctuary Association. From 2014 to 2018, they worked as a Camp Counselor at Trexler Scout Reservation, Minsi Trails Council and as an ITS Student Worker at Lafayette College. In 2015, they took on the role of Junior Project Engineer at Geometric Controls, Inc. and in 2018, they became an Electrical Engineer I - FAST LABS Hardware at BAE Systems. Most recently, they have been an Electrical Engineer at SciAps Inc. where they have been responsible for failure analysis of instruments during and after the manufacturing process and designed a battery testing system that resulted in a greater than 5x increase in production battery testing throughput.
Peter Phelan received their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Lafayette College in 2018. Peter then went on to pursue their Master of Engineering - MEng in Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, which they are expected to complete in 2021.
