Charles Borst

Charles Borst is a seasoned photo editor with a robust career spanning several decades in notable media organizations. Currently serving as Senior Photo Editor for Science Magazine since May 2022, Charles previously held positions including Director of Photography at Education Week, where responsibilities included leading visual coverage of significant events and managing a freelance photographer network. Additional experience encompasses freelance work for high-profile clients such as National Geographic and a role as Director at Corbis, overseeing editorial photography and contributing to innovative web-based platforms. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photojournalism from the Rochester Institute of Technology, Charles has also led photography departments at Newsweek, Knight Ridder/Tribune, and the Chicago Tribune, among others.
