Cyra Master has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Cyra started their career as a Night Reporter at The Eagle-Tribune in 2006, followed by working as a Communications/Publications Coordinator at the Center For Law and Social Policy. At Atlantic Media Company, they worked as a WEB DuBois Fellow where they covered committee hearings and conducted background research. Cyra also worked at Kettler Capitals Iceplex as a Sales Associate. Cyra moved on to National Journal as an Associate Writer, where they crafted political news summaries, and later joined Timberlane Regional High School as a Literacy Lab Coordinator. Cyra then worked at Roll Call as a Copy/Production Editor, where they edited stories, wrote headlines, and managed content on their website. Following that, they joined CQ Roll Call as an Assistant Managing Editor/Social Media Editor. Their next role was with The Hill as an Associate Editor. Currently, Cyra is working at Science Magazine as a Copy Chief.

Cyra Master obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Print Journalism from Emerson College, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Cyra then pursued Graphic Design at Northern Essex Community College from 2010 to 2011, although it is not clear whether they obtained a degree in this field. In terms of additional certifications, Cyra Master obtained a Leadership Foundations certificate from LinkedIn in July 2020 and a Performance Management: Conducting Performance Reviews certificate, also from LinkedIn, in January 2020.
