Team Captain, Event Coach, Biology Subject Expert at Science Olympiad, Inc.

Akshadha J. is a dedicated researcher and educator with extensive experience in various fields. Currently serving as a researcher and education committee board member at miRcore, Akshadha leads COVID-19 genetic computational biology research under Dr. Inhan Lee. As team captain of the Science Olympiad, Akshadha motivated the team to achieve state champion status. Akshadha also conducts neuroscience research at Bethel College, focusing on aesthetic emotional responses to music, and founded Color Me Happy, an organization promoting stress relief through coloring. In addition, Akshadha is a certified community health worker with the Morehouse School of Medicine and has established initiatives such as Jr. Anatomy to inspire young students in STEM. Akshadha co-founded the American Red Cross school chapter, promoting humanitarian efforts, and has a rich background in music, having played the violin for over a decade with various orchestras. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology at Duke University, Akshadha is committed to impacting both the scientific and local communities through diverse projects and research.
