Peter Griffith

Peter Griffith is a seasoned professional in environmental science and ecology, currently serving as Chief Support Scientist at SSAI since December 2014, where Peter also directs the NASA Carbon Cycle & Ecosystems Office. Previously, Peter held leadership roles, including Chief Support Scientist at Sigma Space Corporation and Scientist & Project Manager at SSAI, where Peter was the founding director of NASA’s Carbon Cycle & Ecosystems Office. Peter's extensive experience includes serving as General Manager of CLS America and Vice President at NACLS, along with research professorship at the Center of Marine Biotechnology, focusing on microbial transformations of organic carbon. Peter Griffith holds multiple degrees, including a Ph.D. in Ecology from The University of Georgia, a Master's in Marine Science from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography from Duke University.
