Ruwan Amarasinghe

Ruwan Amarasinghe has a diverse work experience starting from 2009. RUWAN initially worked as an Accounts Clerk at Polypack Secco Ltd from January 2009 to June 2009. RUWAN then moved on to the role of an Executive at the same company from July 2009 to January 2012. After that, they joined Scienter Technologies (Pte) Ltd and worked as a Software Engineer from February 2012 to March 2015. In this role, they focused on requirement gathering, system design, database design, and programming for accounting software. RUWAN also handled installations and user training. Following this, they were promoted to the position of Senior Software Engineer from April 2015 to March 2018. RUWAN was responsible for database design and programming related to web-based modules like Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger. Additionally, they had expertise in technologies like ASP.Net, C#, MVC, Dapper (ORM), and Web service/WEB API. From April 2018 to March 2021, Ruwan served as Tech Lead at Scienter Technologies. Currently, they hold the position of Assistant Vice President at the same company, starting from April 2021.

Ruwan Amarasinghe attended St. Mary's College Kegalle from 1989 to 2002, where they studied commerce. RUWAN then enrolled at the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology from 2004 to 2008, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems. Additionally, during the same period, they also pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management & Organizational Studies at the University of Colombo.
