Harene Elayathamby

Harene Elayathamby is currently a Cancer Sciences Peer Mentor and EDI Officer at the University of Nottingham Students'​ Union. With experience as a Cancer Biology Writer for Scientia News and a Medical Editor for Klarity, Harene demonstrates strong communication and research skills in the field of healthcare. Previous roles include a Cancer Research Intern where research focused on antibodies in breast cancer, and various positions within the Cancer Sciences Society, including Fundraising Officer and Course Representative. As a selected mentee in the Social Mobility Foundation Mentoring Scheme, Harene gains valuable insights from a Medical Affairs Partner at Roche. An ongoing education in Cancer Sciences Msci at the University of Nottingham further complements Harene's extensive involvement in academic and extracurricular activities aimed at fostering inclusivity and supporting fellow students.
