Ferris Jabr is a seasoned writer and journalist with extensive experience in science and health reporting. Currently serving as a Contributing Writer for The New York Times Magazine since January 2018, Ferris also works as a Freelance Writer and has been a Contributing Writer and Associate Editor at Scientific American since November 2011. Previous roles include reporting for New Scientist and two internships at Scientific American MIND and Environmental Health News. Ferris began the career path with research and editorial internships at NOVA: PBS: WGBH, Psychology Today, and Tufts University. Ferris holds a Master’s degree in Journalism with a focus on Science, Health, and Environmental Reporting from New York University, and a Bachelor’s degree from Tufts University.
