Jonathan Parson

Jonathan Parson has a strong background in applied physics, directed energy, and pulsed power & RF engineering. Jonathan worked at Scientific Applications & Research Associates, Inc. from 2015 to present, first as a Pulsed Power & RF Engineer, then as the Section Head of Directed Energy, and currently as the Head of the Applied Physics Department. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Research Associate at Texas Tech University from 2013 to 2015, focusing on carbon fiber electron emission mechanisms and gas evolution in ultra-high vacuum sealed tubes. Jonathan also worked as a Research Assistant at Texas Tech University from 2007 to 2012, with a primary Ph.D. focus in the same area of study.

Jonathan Parson has a strong educational background in Electrical Engineering. Jonathan obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University in 2007, followed by a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in the same field from the same institution in 2008. Jonathan further pursued their studies and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University in 2012.
