Aruna Abeyakoon

Aruna Abeyakoon is a highly experienced analytics and data science professional with a robust career spanning multiple companies and roles. Currently serving as Senior Director of Analytics and Data Science at Light & Wonder, formerly known as Scientific Games, Aruna has been instrumental in advancing data-driven projects to optimize gaming revenue. With previous positions at Scientific Games including Director of Global Analytics and Research, Aruna established a Global Center of Excellence for Analytics. A distinguished career began at Bally Technologies, where Aruna introduced innovative research methodologies in gaming. In addition to industry roles, Aruna contributes as Associate Faculty at the University of Phoenix, designing courses in business research. Aruna holds various advanced degrees, including a Master of Applied Sciences in Statistics from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas and an MBA from the University of Colombo.
