Amjad Nasir has worked in a variety of roles in the life sciences field since 2007. Starting with a Medical Unit Secretary role at Tennova Healthcare, they then became a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Purdue University from 2009 to 2015. In 2015, they moved to a Postdoctoral Research Scientist role at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Washington University. In 2018, they took on a Postdoctoral Research Scientist role at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Amjad also held a Healthcare Consultant role at GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group) from 2017 to 2020, and a Scientific Editor-At-Large role at www.writerightscience.com from 2017 to 2020. Since 2020, they have been working as an Associate Director of Bioinformatics, Manager, Support & Biology Development, and Application Scientist at Scilligence.
Amjad Nasir obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry from Purdue University in 2015, having attended from 2008 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biological Science from Lee University between 2004 and 2007.
