Amjad Nasir

Amjad Nasir has worked in a variety of roles in the life sciences field since 2007. Starting with a Medical Unit Secretary role at Tennova Healthcare, they then became a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at Purdue University from 2009 to 2015. In 2015, they moved to a Postdoctoral Research Scientist role at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Washington University. In 2018, they took on a Postdoctoral Research Scientist role at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Amjad also held a Healthcare Consultant role at GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group) from 2017 to 2020, and a Scientific Editor-At-Large role at www.writerightscience.com from 2017 to 2020. Since 2020, they have been working as an Associate Director of Bioinformatics, Manager, Support & Biology Development, and Application Scientist at Scilligence.

Amjad Nasir obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry from Purdue University in 2015, having attended from 2008 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biological Science from Lee University between 2004 and 2007. Amjad has also obtained several certifications since 2019, including Foundations of Project Management from Google in 2021, Product Launch from Udemy in 2019, Clinical Research Training from NIH Clinical Center (CC) in 2019, Healthcare Marketplace from University of Minnesota in 2019, Design and Interpretation of Clinical Trials from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2019, Drug Development from University of California San Diego in 2019, and IRB-HSR RESEARCHER BASIC COURSE from CITI Program, A Division of BRANY in 2019.
