Sylvie Menezo

Sylvie Menezo has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of photonics. Sylvie is the Founder and CEO of SCINTIL Photonics, a company that develops and sells Silicon Photonic Integrated Circuits for Ultra-High Speed Optical Communications. In this role, they have successfully integrated lasers on advanced Silicon photonics through disruptive technology. Sylvie also has experience as a Board Member of ePIXfab - the European Silicon Photonics Alliance.

Prior to their current roles, Sylvie worked at Leti from 2010 to 2018, where they served as the Head of Developments and was responsible for Partnership and Business Development in Integrated Photonics. Sylvie played a key role in setting up R&D bilateral programs and multi-partner projects, securing significant grants.

Before joining Leti, Sylvie worked at Sercel as the Head of Optical Technologies - Development. Sylvie also gained experience at Alcatel-Lucent as a Semiconductor Process Development and Industrialization expert in III-V integrated Photonics.

Sylvie's career started at Orange, where they completed their Ph.D. in just two years, specializing in the design, fabrication, and characterization of an integrated DWDM laser array at 1550nm. Sylvie also worked as a Research Scientist at NZAT prior to completing their Ph.D.

Sylvie Menezo began their education in 1992 at INSA Lyon - Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon, where they studied Semiconductor Material Engineering until 1996. In 1999, they enrolled at Centre National d'Etudes des Télécommunications to pursue a thesis on Integrated Photonics for optical communications. Later on, in 2006, they attended Audencia Executive Education for a Part Time Exec MBA, but the field of study for this degree is not specified.
