Diederik van Lierop

Diederik van Lierop is an independent consultant specializing in MEMS, lidar, and laser scanning. Diederik co-founded Scinvivo B.V. in 2016 and was involved in the establishment of the company. Prior to that, they worked at Infineon Technologies as a Principal R&D for MEMS, following the acquisition of Innoluce BV in 2016. At Innoluce BV, Diederik served as the CTO and co-founder, where they were responsible for various aspects including system architecture, patent applications, business plans, and technology roadmap. Diederik also managed the development of lidar proof-of-concepts and prototypes and led a team of engineers. Before joining Innoluce BV, Diederik worked at Philips Applied Technologies as a System Architect, Project Manager, and Mechanical Engineer.

Diederik van Lierop completed their education in the field of engineering. From 1993 to 1998, they attended Eindhoven University of Technology, where they obtained their Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following this, from 1999 to 2001, they attended the Stan Ackermans Institute and pursued a Professional Doctorate in Engineering (PDEng) with a specialization in Mechatronics.
