Filippo Brasesco is an experienced professional in international development cooperation, currently serving as the Managing Director and Co-Founder of Scio Network since July 2019, based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, with a subsidiary in Nairobi, Kenya. Filippo is also a founding partner of TEAM Africa and has been involved with various organizations such as Impact Hub Leipzig and BADideas.fund, focusing on investments in early-stage startups across Central and Eastern Europe and the CIS. Additional roles include Agripreneurship & Agri-Innovation Expert for GIZ Algeria, International Market Systems Specialist for FAO, Team Leader at GreenTec Capital Partners, Engagement Manager for Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition, and previously Team Leader for FAO and GIZ in various regions. Filippo holds advanced degrees in Tropical Agrarian Systems, Agricultural Development, and Agro-industrial Economics from reputable institutions including L'Institut Agro Montpellier and the University of Copenhagen.
