Abubaker Danfour

Abubaker Danfour is a PhD student at SCK CEN since October 2021, focusing on delayed ettringite formation in precast and massive concrete structures as part of the European ACES project, which aims to enhance the long-term operation of concrete structures for nuclear applications. Prior to this role, Abubaker served as a research trainee at Lodz University of Technology, engaged in an Erasmus mobility program that involved numerical modeling of heat and moisture transfer in complex textile structures. Additionally, Abubaker undertook a master thesis project at CIRI Buildings and Construction, conducting experimental campaigns on FRCM characterizations at Bologna University's laboratories. Abubaker holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Civil Engineering from KU Leuven, a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Misurata University.
