Sammy Shihab is an experienced professional in the nuclear sector, currently serving as the Recumo Project Director at SCK-CEN since July 2019, focusing on the sustainable supply of radioactive isotopes for medical applications. Sammy has held leadership positions including Managing Director and General Manager at VNS - Vinçotte Nuclear Safety since October 2009, and previously served as Chairman of the Belgian Nuclear Society from January 2016 to November 2017. Earlier roles include Project Manager for New Plants at Tractebel Engineering from December 2007 to September 2009 and various management positions at Belgonucleaire from April 1984 to November 2007. Sammy's educational background includes multiple degrees from Université catholique de Louvain, spanning from 1978 to 1999.
