Santiago Ramos Garces is a PhD researcher at SCK CEN since January 2022, with previous experience as a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter at Universiteit Antwerpen from November 2020 to December 2021, and as a Masterarbeit student at SMS group GmbH, focusing on reel impact elimination for cold rolling mills. Santiago's earlier roles include serving as a line technician at Industrias Japan S.A., where automation projects were developed for motorcycle parts, and as a technical support engineer at Quimel S.L., providing programming and support for servo systems. Santiago also contributed to academia as a tutor at Universidad Nacional de Colombia, teaching various engineering subjects. Santiago's educational background includes ongoing PhD studies in Applied Engineering at the University of Antwerp, multiple master's degrees in Mechatronics and related fields from institutions such as Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences and Universidad de Oviedo, as well as a bachelor's degree in Mechatronics from Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
