Katherine Salerno

Katherine Salerno is a seasoned Youth Services Librarian at Somerset County Library System since November 2012, where responsibilities include planning programs for children and teens and providing various library services. Previous experience includes serving as an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers University, teaching writing skills, and as a Writing Tutor, aiding students across multiple disciplines. Katherine also worked as a Head Instructor for Sciensational Workshops for Kids, Inc., teaching science in an engaging camp environment, and held the position of Education Assistant at the Spurlock Museum, cataloging a photography collection and facilitating children's programs. Katherine's early career included a role as a Waiter at Denny's Diner LTD, showcasing strong customer service skills. Educational qualifications consist of a Master of Library & Information Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature, as well as Journalism and Media Studies from Rutgers University.
