Tobias Povel

Tobias Povel is an accomplished insurance professional with extensive experience in credit and surety underwriting. Currently serving as Chief Underwriting Officer for Credit & Surety at SCOR since May 2004, Tobias has held several key positions, including Regional Manager for Asia-Pacific and Senior Underwriter. Prior to joining SCOR, Tobias worked as an actuary at Swiss Re from December 2000 to April 2004 and at Zurich Re from August 1998 to December 2000. Tobias holds a PhD in Mathematics from ETH Zürich, underscoring a strong analytical background that complements expertise in the insurance sector.
