Kent Lewis has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Kent is the founder of pdxMindShare, an online career community for professionals in Portland, Oregon. With a focus on networking and career development, pdxMindShare has evolved to include online educational resources and a monthly newsletter. Kent also held the role of Marketing & Advertising Member Leader at Business Journals Leadership Trust, where they facilitated communication between the organization and its marketing-focused members through webinars and expert contributions. Kent served as a volunteer instructor for SCORE Mentors, teaching an Advanced Social Media Marketing workshop. As co-founder and past president of SEMpdx, Kent played a key role in establishing the organization's mission and vision and continues to contribute as a member of the advisory board. Kent was also a roundtable member of the Portland Advertising Federation. In their role as Chief Marketing Officer at DEKSIA, Kent was responsible for overseeing marketing strategies and integrating traditional and digital channels. Kent additionally worked as a TV host for Daily Ad Brief and co-hosted the podcast "Podcast for Closers" alongside Mike Chase, exploring the influences of human behavior in sales, marketing, politics, and society. Kent was the president and founder of Anvil Media, Inc., a marketing agency where they aimed to disrupt the industry and change the way agencies market to prospective clients. Kent is currently an adjunct professor at Portland State University, teaching courses on search engine marketing, eMarketing, online market research, and business-to-business marketing as part of a digital certificate program.
Kent Lewis has a degree in Thermodynamics from Garfield High School. Kent also holds a Bachelor's degree in Business with a Marketing concentration from Western Washington University. In addition to their formal education, Kent has obtained certifications in Search Advertising from Google in August 2019 and in Bing Ads from Microsoft in February 2014.
