Ray Freiwirth

Ray Freiwirth is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in intellectual property and startup mentorship. Currently serving as an SBA SCORE Mentor since February 2020, Ray provides guidance to startups while also being an active member of NuFund Venture Group, contributing to due diligence and feedback on funding candidates. As CEO, CTO, and Founder of The Commons XR, Ray is developing an EdTech platform aimed at enhancing diversity and engagement in education through the integration of DEI policies. Previous roles include Chief IP Strategist at RFIPLAW, PLLC, and Patent Counsel at Qualcomm, where Ray managed a global patent docket and collaborated with various organizational departments. Ray held earlier legal positions at prominent firms including Thelen Reid Brown Raysman & Steiner LLP and gained initial experience in intellectual property as a Patent Agent and Legal Intern at various organizations. Ray holds a JD from Brooklyn Law School and a BSEE from Syracuse University.
