Orestis Tsounas

Orestis Tsounas has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Orestis currently holds the position of Global Director of IT & Business Analytics at Scorpios, where they are responsible for strategic decision-making, financial controlling, and IT administration. Orestis has led projects such as the relaunch of Scorpios Mykonos under the SOHO Group umbrella and the launch of Noema Mykonos under the Caprice Group umbrella. Orestis has also played a significant role in the launch of Scorpios Mexico. Orestis is proficient in Power BI development and utilizes their expertise in Excel and Power BI to automate tasks and procedures. Prior to their current role, Orestis served as the Financial Controller at Scorpios Mykonos. Orestis also gained experience as an Audit Associate at Grant Thornton Greece, where they executed audit methodology in various industries, and as an Assistant Brand Manager at 3M Hellas Ltd, where they developed marketing strategies and implemented innovative loyalty programs.

Orestis Tsounas completed their Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Piraeus, where they studied from 2005 to 2011. Orestis then pursued further education and obtained the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) qualification from 2012 to 2015. In 2016, they started studying for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification and became a Level II candidate. In the same year, Orestis also became an Affiliate of the Market Technicians Association (MTA), having passed all exams. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the CMT Affiliate certification from the Market Technicians Association in 2017, the CFA Level I certification from the CFA Institute in 2016, and the ACCA Affiliate certification from ACCA in 2015.
