Samir Lakhashe, Ph.D., currently serves as the Director of Bioanalysis at Scorpius Biomanufacturing, Inc., since July 2021, leading a team in the development of methods in immunology, biochemistry, and molecular biology for vaccine and therapy advancement. Previous roles include Senior Scientist at CTMC, where assay development for cell therapies was a focus, and Principal Scientist at BioBridge Global, overseeing characterization assay development for cell therapy products. Samir has significant experience as a Staff Scientist at Texas Biomedical Research Institute, managing a major multi-institutional project, and as a Postdoctoral Scientist at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, contributing to HIV vaccine projects. Early career experience includes research roles at the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), specializing in HIV-related studies. Samir's academic credentials include a Ph.D. and postdoctoral training from Savitribai Phule Pune University and Harvard Medical School, respectively.
