Dorota Zak

Dorota Zak is a seasoned software development leader with extensive experience in the technology sector. Currently serving as a Senior Manager of Software Development at Scotiabank since March 2021, Dorota leads the Scotia Digital development team focusing on digital onboarding and credit adjudication. Prior to this role, Dorota was a Senior Manager at Prodigy Education from January 2019 to March 2021, overseeing the development and maintenance of web applications for an educational e-learning platform. Dorota's earlier career includes significant positions at Dell EMC, where leadership transitioned from Manager to Senior Manager to Director of Software Development, delivering application-smart data protection across multiple product lines and expanding team size from four to over forty. Before Dell EMC, Dorota held various engineering roles at EMC and LEGATO SYSTEMS LIMITED, developing backup and recovery solutions for a variety of databases. Dorota holds a Master of Mathematics in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Science from Ryerson University.
