Heidi Kinkartz

Heidi Kinkartz is an experienced professional in compliance and legal affairs, currently serving as the Director of Global Sanctions at Scotiabank since November 1998. In this role, Kinkartz leads the Global Sanctions Office, focusing on the effective implementation of the Bank's Enterprise-wide Sanctions Policy and Program. Previously, Kinkartz held dual roles as Director of AML, Sanctions & Advisory Services, and Director of Policies and Standards within Scotiabank Group Compliance, overseeing critical compliance policies and advisory services. Prior to joining Scotiabank, Kinkartz was a Legal Counsel at Transamerica Life Insurance Company of Canada. Kinkartz holds an LL.B in Law from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University and a B.A. in History and German from the University of Toronto - University of St. Michael's College.
