Mark Roughsedge is an accomplished sports professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles within rugby and community sports. Currently, Mark serves as the Director at Sport on Your Doorstep and the CIC Programme Lead at Tag Sports CIC while also holding multiple positions with Scotland Rugby League Limited as Wheelchair RL Director and National Wheelchair Rugby League Head Coach. Mark's coaching credentials include high-level roles with Try Tag Rugby, where Mark coaches the Great Britain Mixed Open Tag Rugby and Women's teams. Additionally, Mark is involved with StreetGames UK Ltd as a Tutor and Regional Training and Workforce Lead. Former positions include Sports Participation Officer at Medway Council, where Mark managed several sports initiatives, and Director at Olympia Boxing. Mark's earlier coaching experience includes roles with England Rugby League and England Wheelchair Rugby League. Mark's educational background includes studies at Warrington Collegiate and Sir Thomas Boteler High School.

Scotland Rugby League is the governing body for rugby league and wheelchair rugby league in Scotland overseeing development and participation at all levels of the sport. We are currently 9th in the Men’s World Rankings (3rd in Europe) and Currently 6th in the Wheelchair World Rankings Our aim is to provide opportunities for people of all ages to take part in the game in Scotland while developing a strong competitive environment to support the development of our international players. As well as our senior Men's team we run Women's, Wheelchair, Students, Under 19 and Under 16 teams. The pinnacle of international competition is the World Cup, that will next be staged in 2021 in England.
