Professor Wendy Alexander

Professor Wendy Alexander serves as Vice Chair at the British Council, contributing to the organization’s extensive international cultural and educational initiatives. Concurrently, Wendy holds positions on the UK Advisory Boards for ApplyBoard and Studyportals, and serves as a Venture Partner at Emerge Education, a European seed fund focused on educational entrepreneurship. Wendy is a member of the Investment Advisory Board for Scottish Equity Partners, which manages substantial venture capital, and has chaired the International Education Advisory Board for Times Higher Education. In public service, Wendy acts as International Trade Envoy for the Scottish Government and has held a patron role with Social Investment Scotland. Wendy’s academic leadership experience includes serving as Vice-Principal for International at the University of Dundee, where significant increases in international fee income were achieved. Educational qualifications include an MBA from INSEAD, a Master’s in Industrial Relations from the University of Warwick, and an MA in Economic and Modern History from the University of Glasgow.
