Peter Nelson

Peter Nelson possesses extensive experience in environmental and health and safety roles, currently serving as a Senior Environmental Advisor at ScottishPower since July 2021. Previous positions include Environmental Advisor and Quality Advisor at the same company. Prior to this, Peter worked at DRAX GENERATION LIMITED as an Engineering Assistant, and held the role of Contracts Manager at DW Construction & Joinery Ltd. Additionally, Peter was an Occupational Health and Safety Advisor at Genesis Occupational Health and Safety, and a Health and Safety Consultant at Natural Power. Earlier in the career, Peter served as a Health & Safety Officer at Scottish and Southern Energy, contributing to the Clyde Wind Farm project, and worked as a Quality, Environmental, Safety & Health Advisor at Carillion. Peter holds a BSc Hons in Rural Environmental Protection from Harper Adams University and attended Castle Douglas High School.
