Team Doctor Scotland Mens Rugby Team at Scottish Rugby Union

Jonathan Hanson has extensive experience in sports medicine, currently serving as the Team Doctor for the Scotland Men's Rugby team since February 2003, and has held various medical roles within Scottish Rugby, including Team Physician for age group teams and Course Director for the SCRUMCAPS course. In addition to working with Scottish Rugby, Jonathan is a Consultant Physician in Sport and Exercise Medicine at NHS Fife, Chair of the Scottish Government Sports Concussion advisory group, and has held roles with Glasgow Warriors, Hintsa Performance, and a multitude of international sporting bodies such as World Rugby and UEFA. Education credentials include degrees from the University of Aberdeen, the Royal College of Emergency Medicine, and other respected institutions, contributing to a robust foundation in both medical and sports-related expertise.
