Scottish Sentencing Council
Ondine Tennant possesses extensive experience in the Scottish legal and governmental sectors, currently serving as Director of the Scottish Sentencing Council and Deputy Secretary for the Scottish Civil Justice Council at the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service since February 2013. Ondine has been the Secretary to the Scottish Sentencing Council since November 2014. Prior roles at the Scottish Government include Policy Officer for Civil Courts Reform, Policy Manager for Long Term Conditions, and Policy Officer for Criminal Procedure, with tenure from July 2007 to February 2013. Ondine holds an LLB in Law and Politics from The University of Edinburgh and additional studies in Law and Politics at UNSW.

Scottish Sentencing Council
The Council was established in October 2015 as an independent, advisory body as a result of the Criminal Justice and Licensing (Scotland) Act 2010 Under law, we must: - promote consistency in sentencing - assist the development of sentencing policy - promote greater awareness and understanding of sentencing.
