Brian Herrington

Brian Herrington is a seasoned professional in external affairs and philanthropy, currently serving as Vice President of External Affairs, Philanthropy & Corporate Responsibility at The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company since June 2022. Brian is responsible for leading policy and philanthropic initiatives for the company, which is the largest marketer of consumer lawn and garden products worldwide, as well as its subsidiary, The Hawthorne Gardening Company. Prior to this role, Brian held significant positions at The Hawthorne Gardening Company and The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, including Vice President and Director of Government Affairs. Brian's experience also extends to government roles, including Assistant Director of Intergovernmental Affairs for the Office of the New York State Attorney General, and Deputy Chief of Staff for Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy. Brian Herrington earned a JD from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Latin American Studies from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh.
