Derek McSpadden is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the construction and technology sectors. Currently serving as President and Global Director of Operations at Scottsdale Construction Systems since August 2020, Derek focuses on advancing light gauge steel wall frame and roof truss technology. As Principal Solutions Architect at Vision Solutions Partners/SP Solutions, Derek provides consulting and system development services, specializing in customizable cloud-based software for various industries. Derek held several leadership roles at Katerra and Noble Environmental Technologies, including Vice President of Product Management and President and Global COO, respectively, where contributions included developing innovative green building materials. Past positions include Vice President/General Manager at Amcon Steel and Vice President of Finance at Nuconsteel. Derek holds a Master of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of North Texas.

Scottsdale Construction Systems has been providing world leading solutions for the manufacture of steel frames and trusses for both the residential and commercial construction markets since its inception in 1995. Our technology comprises comprehensive virtual building 3D design software and machine control software and CNC rollforming machines. SCS has two product lines: Panelised Fabrication Systems and Truss Fabrication Systems, although many permutations and combinations are possible, i.e. panels can be used for ceilings, roofs & beams; trusses for floor joists. The Panelised Fabrication System can build complete Steel Houses Including Walls, Ceiling, Roof Frames & Floor Joists for the residential market. For the commercial construction sector it can be used to build Completed Steel Buildings Including Roofing Panels, Infill Panelling, External Rain Shield & Internal Partitioning. The Truss Fabrication Systems produces fully engineered bolted steel trusses and floor joists.
