Matthias Weil

Matthias Weil has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Matthias started their career as an intern at DuPont in 2000. Matthias then worked as an intern at Volkswagen Slovakia in 2003. In 2004, they joined netzkern AG as a working student. After that, they served as a student assistant at Bergische Universität Wuppertal, working at the Chair of Controlling and the Chair of Financial Accounting from 2006 to 2009. In the same period, from 2008 to 2009, they also worked as a working student at Deloitte. Matthias then joined Deloitte as a full-time employee and held various roles, including Audit Industrial Clients, IFRS Advisory Services, and Visiting Associate/Secondment. In 2015, they joined BIOTRONIK as Head of Group Accounting and later became the Vice President of Corporate Accounting. In 2020, they joined SuitePad as Vice President of Finance. Currently, they serve as the Vice President of Accounting, Tax & Risk Management at Scout24 Group, a position they have held since December 2021. Overall, Matthias Weil has a diverse background in finance, accounting, and risk management, with leadership experience in different organizations.

Matthias Weil obtained a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Before that, they completed their undergraduate degree in Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Finance, and Taxation at Bergische Universität Wuppertal from 2003 to 2009. In terms of additional certifications, Matthias Weil received certification in Applied Business Analytics from MIT Sloan Executive Education in January 2021. Matthias also obtained certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner from Scrum Alliance in April 2019. Furthermore, they completed the Steuerberater-Examen from Steuerberaterkammer Berlin in March 2016.
